Born in Frederick, Taylor Corell Stein has spent his entire career in Oklahoma courtrooms, zealously fighting for the little guy who needs it most. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1975 and his Juris Doctor in 1978 from the University of Tulsa Collect of Law. Mr. Stein returned to Lawton and was in private practice from 1978 through 1987. While in private practice, Mr. Stein practiced in the areas of criminal law, family law, insurance defense, wrongful discharge, civil rights, and bankruptcy. In 1988 he went to work for the Comanche County District Attorney's Office as an Assistance District Attorney where he remained until 2002. While in the District Attorney's office he advised Comanche County elected officials in civil matters, including several notable trials in the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, concerning such matters as Section 1983 Civil Rights claims, auto negligence, and Title VII sexual harassment issues. Later, Mr. Stein transferred to the felony division where he handled felony criminal prosecution and jury trials. In July 2002, he was appointed as Special District Judge in and for Comanche County. Mr. Stein returned to private practice in 2007, where his current practice focuses on family matters, criminal law, and personal injury litigation.
